PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of always obtaining clean outputs without soiling in a transfer paper conveying path.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an electrode 22 disposed in a developing container 3, in which a magnetic attraction force generated by a prescribed pole 6 disposed at the inside of a developing sleeve 12 to be applied to a magnetic toner goes to the downstream side in the rotating direction of the developing sleeve 12, while facing the developing sleeve 12 on the upstream side of the prescribed magnetic pole 6 disposed at the inside of the developing sleeve 12 in the rotating direction of the developing sleeve 12. A DC voltage whose polarity is opposite to that of the magnetic toner is applied to the electrode 22 so that an electric field formed in a gap between the developing sleeve 12 and the electrode 22 may become larger than that formed in a gap between a photoreceptor drum and the electrode 22. |
