PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which ensures no change in the charge amount of a developer because an additive is superior in uniform dispersibility in a base particle surface and there is a small quantity of free additive, and which avoids toner filming on a photoreceptor and further on a developer holding member.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic toner in which at least a binder resin, a colorant and a release agent are melt-kneaded, cooled, pulverized and classified to obtain base particles and the base particles are mixed with at least one additive to obtain a toner, the mixing with the additive comprises two mixing steps, at the first mixing step the base particles are mixed with part of the additive, and at the second step the remaining additive is added and mixing is carried out. A rate of disengagement of the additive measured by ultrasonic vibration method of the toner is 1-7%. |
