PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectifier of a motor with brushes which prevents sparks with a simple structure.SOLUTION: Each brush of a DC motor with the brushes has a main brush 710, an auxiliary brush 713, and an insulating layer 715. The auxiliary brush is joined to the side of the main brush sandwiching the insulating layer 715. The insulating layer 715 has specific resistivity higher than the main brush and the auxiliary brush. After a segment 51 of a commutator 5 separates from the main brush 710, the auxiliary brush contacts the segment 51 for only a predetermined period of time. Residual magnetic energy of phase coils causes a current to flow into a resistor or a diode through the auxiliary brushs 713 and the segments. The resistor consumes the residual magnetic energy. The diode regenerates the current in a power supply. |
