PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a materials testing machine capable of always performing an accurate material test without requiring skills, without performing trial and error, or without requiring a long time when setting a control gain, and dispensing with setting of initial speed of a load mechanism at a test starting time, concerning the materials testing machine using a motor as a driving source of the load mechanism.SOLUTION: The ratio K(t) of a detection value F(t) of a controlled variable to a displacement θ(t) of the motor 21 is calculated successively, and a value in proportion to a value determined by dividing a deviation {F(t)-F(t)} by the calculated ratio K(t) is supplied as a rotational angular speed command to a servo amplifier 36 for supplying a current to the motor 21; and thereby a proper gain is calculated and set automatically following progression of the test, while dispensing with the setting of a control gain by an operator. Additionally, in an initial stage after start of the test, the rotational angular speed command is determined, by using the maximum value assumable by the testing machine as an initial value of the ratio K, setting of initial speed of the load mechanism prior to the test is dispensed with. |
