PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic gas meter which determines flooding of water while suppressing costs, and a method for detecting water of the same.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic gas meter includes: transducers TD1, TD2 for intermittently transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic signal in a gas channel; an amplifier 13a for amplifying a received signal to a predetermined intensity; and a CPU 14a for determining that water has been flooded in a meter channel when the propagation time of an ultrasonic wave transmitted and received by the transducers TD1, TD2 is equal to or less than a specified value and/or when the amplification degree of the amplifier 13a is equal to or less than a predetermined value. |
