The present invention relates to a transport container for live fish, incorporating a protein skimmer and a foam tank. More particularly, the transport container for live fish includes a protein skimmer mounted in the cargo room for removing suspended substances and protein components contained in the water stored in a live fish aquarium together with a filtering means for the stored water; a large-scaled foam tank for storing suspended substances, waste and protein foam discharged from the protein skimmer during the transport period of the live fish container; and an odor exhaust means for exhausting bad odor generated in the foam tank. According to the transport container for live fish, it is possible to noticeably improve the purification performance of the stored water in a limited space of the cargo room by the protein skimmer, and to prevent disease or death of live fish due to toxins generated in the process of decomposition of the suspended substances and protein components. The operation of the protein skimmer may be safely carried out by the foam tank and the exhaust means for an extended period so that it is possible to secure a maximum transport period and a maximum transport distance for live fish by means of the live fish container. |
