The device has throttle valves (11) arranged on a one-piece shaft (10), where the shaft exhibits a circular cross-section and flat portions compensating the circular cross-sections in sections (12). The sections are formed by deformation of the shaft. The throttle valves are provided on the deformed sections of the shaft. The flat portions are set radially inward in relation to diameter of the circular cross-section of the shaft. The deformed sections have bulges which are radially protruded in relation to the diameter of the circular cross-section of the shaft. The valves are made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a combustion air adjusting device.
