Disclosed is a household appliance (KG) comprising a plurality of touch-sensitive key zones (TA1 to TA8) in a control panel (BF1). Contact with said key zones (TA1 to TA8) can be sensed by at least one electronic touch sensor element (KTS2) behind the control panel (BF1). Each key zone (TA2) is formed by a partially or entirely opaque planar element that is electrically separated from the partially or entirely opaque planar element of at least one other key zone (TA1) and/or from at least one external covering frame (MIN1) by means of at least one separating web (MTS1, VTS11). The planar element of each key zone (TA2) and each separating web (MTS1, VTS11) and/or the covering frame (MIN1) sit on a joint support plate (TP) such that the external surfaces of the planar elements and separating webs and/or covering frame are substantially flush.
