The arrangement (1) has an airbag (2) for filling with gas (19), and a chamber e.g. thorax chamber (5), filled with the gas and including a region (8) and a wider region (9) in direction (10). Another chamber e.g. head chamber (6), connects to the thorax chamber in another direction (11), that is directly deviated from the former direction. The airbag is formed in such a manner that the head chamber is filled with the gas by the region of the thorax chamber, where direction of main gas flow corresponds to and/or parallel to the thorax chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an air bag arrangement.
