The wire conveyor useful to bring wire (2) to a wire consumer, comprises an excitation device (8, 9) that is arranged so that it directly transfers the wire in oscillation. The oscillations are transferred from the wire conveyor to the wire. The excitation device is an ultrasonic generator and has a piezo-crystal or an electromotively driven eccentric device. The wire consumer is a welding gun or an arc-wire spray device with two wires, where each wire is associated to the excitation device.
