If a plurality of objects exist, an image pick-up device of this invention more easily identifies an object that a user desires and optimizes an image pick-up condition. The device includes: an object learning data extractor (17) detecting a predetermined object from picked-up image information to extract object feature leaning information; an object learning data memory (19) storing the object feature learning information; a pick-up candidate image information acquirer (21) acquiring pick-up candidate image information; an image retrieval processor (25) judging whether an image of an object corresponding to the object feature learning information exists in the pick-up candidate image information based on the acquired pick-up candidate image information and the object feature learning information stored in the object learning data memory (19); and, if yes, an image pick-up condition adjuster (28) instructing an AF controller (29) to optimize an image pick-up condition for an object corresponding to the image of the object in the pick-up candidate image.
