<p>The retractor has two arms (A, B) with interlocking claws (C) for fixing wound edges, where the wound edges are held open by the arms. The arms transmit a force on the claws over a rotational axle so that the wound edges are opened, where the force is produced by rotation of a screw (I). The rotational axle is attached parallel and adjacent to the screw, and is connected to the arms by a set of pivots (E, F). The screw rotates with respect to left- and right-rotating nuts that are attached to the arms on screw sides by another set of pivots (J, K).</p> |
