The device has an oxidation catalyzer (5) provided downstream of an internal combustion engine (1) and a reduction catalyzer (6). A reduction agent introducing device (7) is provided for introducing a reduction agent i.e. ammonia, in an exhaust path (8) upstream of the reduction catalyzer in a gaseous aggregate condition. The reduction agent introducing device is provided with number of outlet openings for introducing the reduction agent into the exhaust gas flow in a distributed manner.
