[Class 12 (i).] The outer races are automatically adjusted by fluid pressure and have coned inner surfaces. They are axially movable by annular pistons i, g, h which are subject to the pressure of a fluid supplied by tubes s, p to annular spaces x. Oil or air " moistened " with oil mav be used as the fluid medium and small clearances are made between the various parts so that lubrication is effected. If a valved outlet is provided the pressure medium will have a cooling effect.
