PURPOSE: To provide the steering column fitting structure formed to remove a steering column from a bracket in the same removing direction when a secondary collision is generated. CONSTITUTION: In this steering column fitting structure, in order to fix the steering column 1 to the bracket 12 from under thereof, a rail-like guide part 20 is formed continuously to a vehicle rear side end of a bolt fitting part 18 projected from a lower part of the steering column 1, and extended backward of the vehicle at nearly the same height with the bolt fitting part 18. After the bolt fitting part 18 passes the bracket 12, the guide part 20 guides the steering column 1, and the steering column 1 removed from the bracket 12 moves in the axial direction, keeping the attitude thereof. |
