The method involves complying reception of a request with a protocol usable to control an entity from a source network (RS1) by a roaming relay module (DMS-R2) via a control interface. Another request is sent from the roaming relay module to a source relay module (DMS-R1) and intended to be converted by the source relay module into a third request complying with the protocol. An address of content referenced by a content server (DMS11) is provided. A discovery mechanism is implemented, so that the roaming relay module is recognized as the content server of a local home network (RS2). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a data recording medium comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for controlling an entity of a remote source network from a local home network (2) a roaming relay module for implementing a method for controlling an entity of a remote source network from a local home network comprising a receiver.
