The device (12) has a distance measuring device (14) or laser distance measurer, provided for determining distance from the measuring device to spatial points i.e. network nodes, via radiation that runs along a measuring line. The distance measuring device determines distance of the spatial points to a spherical middle point. A supporting structure (18) is provided for spatial arrangement of a spherical structure (21) at multiple different measuring points. The supporting device has a spherical retainer for holding the spherical structure in free rotatable and selectable direction. An independent claim is also included for a measuring method for spatial measurement of a spatial structure of the network.
