<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time spent until a printing image is displayed with respect to an image display device for generating a layout image in which assignment images are assigned. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device is provided with: a layout image generation display part for generating a layout image in which assignment images are assigned to a virtual page and displaying them on a screen; and a printing image generation display part for generating a printing image for showing an object to be printed on the basis of the layout image and displaying it simultaneously with the layout image on the screen. When the printing image to be displayed on the screen corresponds to a partial area of the layout image, the printing image generation display part displays the printing image before displaying the layout image to which all the assignment images are assigned by the layout image generation display part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
