<p>A candle and process for making it are disclosed. The candle comprises prilled wax particles, comprising hydrogenated natural oil and wherein at least 75% of the prilled wax particles are less than 800 μm in diameter. The candle includes a compressed core and a thermally fused outer layer.</p>
