350,959. Television. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. March 10, 1930, No. 7801. Convention date, March 8, 1929. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (iii).] Relates to systems in which a screen is constituted by rows of lamps or light-sensitive cells, each lamp &c. being connected in circuit in turn, and consists in the use of a mechanical distributer 20 controlling the connections of groups I .. XI of lamps &c. and an electronic distributer 21 controlling the more rapid connections of the individual lamps &c. 1 .. 8 in each group. The distributer 20 preferably has r contacts 9 and r-1 radial arms 10, so that in lth/r of a revolution all the groups I . . XI are switched into circuit in turn. The electronic distributer has r anodes 11 and a central cathode 13, the electron stream 12 rotating under the action of solenoids 14. . 17. Instead of the lamps &c. being fed through the electronic distributer, the charges given to each anode 11 may affect the grids of thermionic valves to allow a larger current to flow through the lamps &c. |
