Use of a peptide compound of general formula (II), wherein Ar is a phenyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted with at least one halo group; R3 is alkoxy group containing 1-3 carbon atoms and R1 is methyl group, preferably of lacosamide, for the preparation of pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of acute and chronic pain.
