发明名称 Druckregelventil fuer Bremsvorrichtungen, insbesondere von Kraftfahrzeugen
摘要
308,782. Bragg, C. S., and Kliesrath, V. W. March 28, 1928, [Convention date]. Fluid - pressure. - Fluid-pressure brake mechanism, operated by the suction of an internal combustion engine, comprises pressure regulating means interposed between the suction pipe and the brake control valve to maintain a substantially constant rarification available for brake operation and adapted to prevent admission of explosive mixture to the brake and valve mechanism. The regulating means, which is provided with hand control to vary the constant degree of rarification, comprises a casing 30 containing a stand pipe 34 connected to the suction pipe by a pipe 26. The casing is connected to the control valve by a pipe 26a and a diaphragm 36 is adapted to be seated on the end of the stand pipe by atmospheric pressure and thus close the control valve from the suction pipe, when a certain degree of rarification is attained in the casing 30. The diaphragm is held away from the mouth of the stand pipe by a spring 50 the tension of which is varied by a hand control 51. The spring is also provided with an adjusting nut 50c. In a modification, the stand pipe is moved by the hand control and the resiliency of the diaphragm maintains it away from the mouth of the stand pipe until a sufficient degree of rarification has been attained. In a further modification a partition divides the casing 30 into two parts the smaller of which is connected to the suction pipe and the larger to the control valve and the diaphragm seats on the edge of the partition. In a further modification a second diaphragm is arranged to seat on an annular shoulder forming a second seat on the stand pipe, to form a check valve. The pressure regulating valve is shown in connection with a brake mechanism comprising a brake piston open at one side to the atmosphere and connected at the other to a pipe 15, Fig. 3 and the interior of the valve control rod 20 of the brake control valve, and by apertures 27, past a valve 43 and port 16 to the atmosphere. The casing 10 is connected by a rod 78 to the foot pedal, movement of which closes the valve 43 and opens the suction valve 42 to connect the suction pipe 26a from the pressure regulator to the brake cylinder pipe 15. The control rod 20 is connected to the brake linkage to allow the brakes to be applied directly by foot pressure by means of a collar 28 on the rod 20 and an adjustable collar 22 on the valve casing. A vacuum storage tank may be arranged between the pressure regulator and the control valve. The pressure regulating valve is also shown in connection with a brake mechanism comprising a brake piston permanently connected at one side to suction by a direct connection to the suction pipe 26a and at the other side normally to suction as the suction pipe 26a is connected to the port 16 and the port 17 is open to the atmosphere in order to admit atmospheric pressure to one side of the brake pistons when the valve is operated to apply the brakes.
