METHOD OF MOLTEN PIG IRON PRELIMINARY TREATMENT FOR IMPROVING DESULFURATION EFFIENCY

PURPOSE: A pretreatment method of molten pig iron is provided to improve desulfurization efficiency by mixing quicklime and silica as desulfurizing agents at the ratio of 91-95:5-9 % in molten pig iron and dipping an agitator to induce desulfurization. CONSTITUTION: Quicklime and silica are mixed as desulfurizing agent at the ratio of 91-95:5-9 % into molten pig iron which is tapped from a furnace into a reactor. An agitator is dipped in the molten pig iron and agitated. The 80-90% of the whole desulfurizing agent is put at the point of time less than 30% of the total desulfurization time and the rest 10-20% of the whole desulfurizing agent is put at the point of time less than 30% and over 60% of the total desulfurization time.
