PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inputting Braille are provided to improve the portability of a Braille input/output device by restricting the number of Braille keys down to 32 Braille keys. CONSTITUTION: Braille keys(32) of a Braille input unit(31) are formed in the range of 32-63 Braille keys. One or two 63 typed completed Braille is allocated to each Braille key. A command input unit(36) includes a conversion key(37) and a space key(38). Through the operation of the Braille keys and the conversion key, the selection and input of the completed Braille are performed.
