PURPOSE: An apparatus for pre-heating scrap in an electric furnace is provided to reduce the consumption of electric energy by pre-heating scrap with internal waste heat of exhaust gas passing through a combustion tower. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for pre-heating scrap in an electric furnace comprises a preheater body(100) which is arranged outside a combustor(30) in which the exhaust gas of the electric furnace is reheated and provided with heat of the combustor through a transfer unit. The preheater body comprises a space part for receiving scrap, and upper and lower lids(110,120) which are opened and closed via an opening/closing member.
