PURPOSE: A temperature control apparatus and method of a finishing mill are provided to independently and precisely control the roll speed and the flow rate of cooling spray in each section by individually measuring the temperature of each stand. CONSTITUTION: A temperature control apparatus of a finishing mill comprises temperature measuring units and a control unit(30). The temperature measuring units are arranged between stands in a finishing mill and remove the steam formed on the surface of a sheet material between the stands and measure the temperature of the sheet material. The control unit controls the operation of the temperature measuring unit and controls the temperature of the sheet material within a section, in which the temperature measuring units(20a,20b~20x) are arranged, according to the temperature measurement result.
