<p>A paddle racket or racquet 10 comprises a head frame 20 having two parallel ball hitting surfaces 22, a periphery, and a handle 30, the periphery having at least one concave or indented area 24. The head frame may include at least one convex or protruding area 26 adjacent the concave area(s), the or each convex area being provided with an air guiding channel 265 having at least two openings 267. The air guiding channel(s) 265 may extend in a direction perpendicular to the ball hitting surfaces. The channel(s) may have a cross shape extending between four openings provided in lateral surfaces of their respective convex area (see fig. 2), or may have a T shape with the head of the T extending from opposite lateral sides of the convex area and the stem of the T extending radially outwardly of the head frame (see fig. 3). The or each convex area 26 may include a top side 261 and four lateral sides 263, with the respective air guide channel(s) having (i) one opening provided on the top side and two openings respectively formed on two of the lateral sides (see fig. 3), or (ii) four openings respectively formed on the four lateral sides (see. fig 2).</p> |
