PURPOSE: A grinder protecting apparatus and a method thereof are provided to prevent damage to a motor of a grinder due to overload since drive is stopped automatically if a power switch is not turned off by an operator's careless mistake. CONSTITUTION: A grinder protecting apparatus comprises a condition signal generating unit(50) and a control unit(40). The condition signal generating unit generates condition signals for switching off the operation of a grinders(1). The motor of the grinder transfers the power to a work piece grinding member. The control unit receives condition signals, determines the power off state of the grinder, and stops the grinder according to the determination result. |
