PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for processing a virtual world are provided to transmit information measured from a real world to a virtual world using a sensor feature. CONSTITUTION: A sensor(250) encodes information collected from a real world by the first metadata. An adaptive VR(Virtual world to Real world) unit(260) encodes information about a virtual world into the second metadata. An adaptive RV(Real world to Virtual world) unit(255) generates information to be applied to the virtual world based on the first and second metadata. The adaptive RV unit encodes the generated information by the third metadata.
