PURPOSE: A metal lithium removing method is provided to safely remove metal lithium after metal lithium is transformed into Li2CO3(Lithium Carbonate) which is stable in air and water. CONSTITUTION: A metal lithium removing method comprises a plasma applying step and a lithium carbonate dissolution step. The plasma is formed from a carbon source and an oxygen source. The metal lithium is transformed into the lithium carbonate. The lithium carbonate is dissolved in the aqueous solution.
