PURPOSE: A safety parapet for fire escape is provided to enable people to easily escape through a boarding gate to down stairs in fire, since the boarding gate can move to the down stairs. CONSTITUTION: A safety parapet for fire escape comprises support pillars(3,4), a first supporting plate(5), a second supporting plate(6), a support cable, a lock unit(8), a fastener(R), and an inner support rod. The support post vertically crosses an upstairs veranda(1) of a building and is extended to a downstairs veranda(2). The first supporting plate is joint-connected to both support posts to be slidable and foldable. The second supporting plate is joint-connected to the first supporting plate. The support cable supports the second supporting plate to both support posts. The locking unit moves vertically along the inner rail of the support post. The fastener is coupled with the post. |
