PURPOSE: A method for recognizing a magnetic ink character is provided to divide all character strings into each character string, thereby individually reading each character. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of bars configuring a CMC7 character is recognized by a magnetic header(S100). A character string waveform is obtained. A location of each peak is detected from the obtained character string waveform(S110). An interval between peaks is calculated by the location of each peak(S120). Each character waveform is separated from the entire character string waveform using the calculated interval value between the peaks(S160). Each character is individually recognized from the separated character waveform(S210). |
