PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning the inside of a ventilation duct for an apartment house and a cleaning method thereof are provided to remove foreign materials inside a duct since the dust-removal ball absorbs foreign materials inside the duct by static electric generated by friction. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for cleaning the inside of a ventilation duct for an apartment house comprises a drive unit, a connection pipe(200), a ball feeder(300), and a ball collector(400). A motor controller(140) is installed on the outside of a drive unit body(110) and controls the air volume and power of a fan motor. An intake hole(112) connects to the separated ducts(11,21) of a diffuser(10) and a ventilation unit(20). The ball feeder transfers dust removing balls(320) to an outer port(30). Dust-removal balls are contained in a case(310).
