PURPOSE: A cargo tank venting system in a chemical tanker is provided to optimize the space utilization by connecting a portable hose to carry out venting only when necessary. CONSTITUTION: A cargo tank venting system in a chemical tanker comprises main vent lines(40-1,40-2,40-3,40-4,40-5,40-6), hose couplers(30a-1~30a-6,30b-1~30b-6,30c-1~30c-6,30d-1~30d-6), and a ventilator. The main vent lines as many as cargo holds(50-1,50-2,50-3,50-4,50-5) capable of loading or unloading cargos at maximum are arranged in an upper deck. A portable hose(30') is connected to a hose coupler which is connected to a desired line. The ventilator circulates/changes air, thereby ensuring smooth loading of cargo and entry of workers. |
