PURPOSE: A device and method for receiving broadcasting signal are provided to decrease the strength of RF broadcast signal according to the broadcast signal intensity of a receiving channel thereby searching and receiving the broadcast channel steadily. CONSTITUTION: A tuner(110) selects the broadcast signal of the special channel among RF(Radio Frequency) broadcast signal outputted from an antenna and outputs IF(Intermediate Frequency) broadcast signal. A demodulator(120) demodulates the IF broadcast signal and separates and outputs a video signal and a voice signal. An attenuator(150) decrease the intensity of the RF broadcast signal inputted to the tuner according to AGC(automatic gain control) level of the RF and IF broadcast signal. A booster is connected between the antenna and the tuner and amplifies the RF broadcast signal. |
