PURPOSE: A digital photographing device and a method for controlling the same are provided to enable a user to select an open image to be reproduced for the first time when the device enters to the reproduce mode. CONSTITUTION: An open image selection UI(User Interface) providing unit(830a) displays at least one searched candidate image. The open image selections UI providing unit enables a user to selects an open image, which is a image file to be reproduced for the first time, in image reproduction mode from at least one candidate image. An open image determination uni(840) determines the candidate image selected by a user as an image opening unit. A display control unit(850) reproduces the open image by searching the open image form the image file storing unit. |
