PURPOSE: A method for printing a saving mode color, a color printing device, and a recording medium therefor are provided to keep a color contrast value about a boundary area of a printing target object included in a color document during a power saving mode, thereby reducing the amount of using toner, ink, and ribbon. CONSTITUTION: When a color document is printed in a power saving mode, an area checking unit(120) checks a printing target object area included in the color document. A contrast enhancing unit(135) configures adaptive color printing control information for increasing a power saving mode contrast value. A printing unit(140) performs printing to make the power saving mode contrast value to be same or larger than a normal mode contrast value.
