PURPOSE: A sensor for detecting surface and an apparatus for capturing vermin are provided, which can easily grasp the number of pests coming in and out an apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A sensor for detecting surface comprises: a housing(100) in which at least one side is opened and a space is formed; a luminous unit(200) which emits infrared ray; a light receiving unit(300) which is equipped in order to be corresponded to the luminous unit and receives the infrared ray; a sensing circuit performing sensing of objects according to the information of the light receiving unit; and a horizontal shield arranged in opened one side of the light receiving unit.
