METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING RECTANGULAR PLATE INTO HOLLOW PIPE

PURPOSE: A method for forming rectangular plates into hollow pipes and an apparatus thereof are provided to enable the formation of a pipe though the diameter of the pipe is 10mm or greater. CONSTITUTION: A method for forming rectangular plates(60) into hollow pipes(100) comprises following steps. When the rectangular plate is divided into a left half part(61) and a right half part(66) based on a central line, the outer ends(62,67) and middle parts(73,78) of the left half part and the right half part are bent to the radius of curvature. The inner ends of the left half part and the right half part are bent to the radius of curvature and portions including a central line are projected, so the inner ends(84,89) of the left half part and the right half part connect to the middle part of the left half part and the right half part. The left half part and the right half part are bisymmetrical based on the central line.
