The device (1) has a lever mechanism (3) coupled with a drivable drive element (2) e.g. drive piston rod, and an adjusting part i.e. exhaust flap, provided with bent levers (31.1, 32.2). One of the levers is hinged at the adjusting part by a rotation axis (S2). The other lever is supported at a base part (10) i.e. flat base plate. The mechanism is designed such that the latter lever is rotatable around another rotation axis (S1) and the former lever is rotatable around the former axis in swiveling directions for adjusting the adjusting part, where the directions coincide with each other.
