The arrangement has a measuring electrode (1) exhibiting a sensing electrode surface. The measuring electrode and a shielding electrode (2) are supplied with alternating current voltage during operation of a sensor. The shielding electrode surrounds the measuring electrode such that a surface of the shielding electrode is arranged at distance in relation to the measuring electrode surface. A window (4) is provided in the shielding electrode surface that partially overlaps with the electrode surface of the measuring electrode when the measuring electrode surface is viewed from the top.
