The arrangement has a control unit controlling actuators of a media-device according to control commands derived from user inputs, and an user inputs receiving unit. The receiving unit is automatically designed as a component of a wireless remote control and/or as a component of the media-device. An user input evaluation unit has a software and/or hardware assisted evaluation unit to recognize presence of a person. The receiving unit has two cameras (1, 1') arranged at the media-device or at a required existing wireless remote control such that optical axes of objectives cut into each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for multimodal operation of a media-device.
