PURPOSE: A portable information provider and a method for providing information of an exhibit using the same are provided to conveniently and rapidly obtain information about various exhibit. CONSTITUTION: An information storing unit(120) stores information of an exhibit. An input unit(130) selects at least one among the information of the exhibit stored in the information storing unit. A control unit controls output of the selected information to execute information selected by the input unit. An output unit outputs the information controlled by the control unit. The information outputted from the output unit is information for guide of the exhibit. Information for guide is information of at least one among a text, an image, a sound, and a moving image.
