The present invention relates to fire-resistant glazing. According to the invention, the transparent fire-resistant glazing comprises at least one intumescent layer of a hydrated alkali metal silicate between two glass sheets, the composition resulting in this layer, obtained without drying, comprising the use of an aqueous suspension of colloidal silica in an amount such that the silica introduced with this suspension is not less than 25% of the total silica in the intumescent layer and the silica/alkali metal oxide molar ratio is less than 4. |
