PURPOSE: An image forming device, a control method thereof, and a recording medium therefor are provided to receive data transmitted from a portable phone and print the data. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(202) determines whether data received from an information device is in an e-mail form. When the data is in an e-mail form, a display unit displays a letting screen. The letting screen is for enabling a user to select whether to form an image in an image text of data. The letting screen is for enabling the user to select whether to form an image of an added file of the data.
