The device has rotary thread treatment aggregates (8), and a guide e.g. rail and sliding path, defining a travel path (5). A thread feeder (4) is driven independent of the thread treatment aggregates. The travel path of the thread feeder between a takeover point (5.1) and a delivery point (5.2) is alternately left- and right-sideldy bent according to position of the thread treatment aggregates. Feed speed of a continuously tapered melt-spinning thread (2) is higher than moving speed of the thread feeder. A thread guide group (3) is arranged on a side of the travel path.
