The plate has two integral flaps (2, 3) for passing unfolding airbags. The flaps are tiltable by a hinge provided at the plate. A free movement element is provided in an area of the hinge in an opening direction of the flaps for freely moving the opened flaps. The free movement element has a perforation formed in the material of the plate. The perforation has multiple rows of small holes that run parallel to a hinge axis and formed by a laser. The total width of the holes is in the range of 5-10 millimeter.
