摘要 The invention relates to methods and devices for measuring the thickness of the ferromagnetic objects, using the electromagnetic field. The method for measuring the thickness of the ferromagnetic object, according to which the electromagnetic field with constant amplitude of magnetic induction is induced, penetrating into at least a part of the object in the direction of measuring, is characterized by that, according to the method, the frequency of the electromagnetic field is additionally regulated in order to find such value thereof in which its decreasing below this value does not change the flux of the magnetic induction associated with the induced field; the depth of penetration in the direction of measuring into the object of the electromagnetic field which frequency corresponds to the found value is estimated; and said depth of penetration is accepted as the thickness of the measured object. Also a device for measuring the thickness of the ferromagnetic object by said method is disclosed. The technical result is that this method considerably simplifies the measurement owing to the fact that it does not require the use of converters for conversion of electromagnetic energy into another form of energy, but uses the dependence of the depth of penetration of the electromagnetic field into the ferromagnetic object from the frequency for estimating the thickness of the object.
