The method involves detecting and storing a parameter as a measurement value, where the parameter is correlated by touching a touch sensor. The pressure is applied to the touch sensor for operating the sensor. The parameter is again detected and stored as another measurement value at a time point after detecting the former measurement value. The measurement values are compared with each other. An electrically controlled system is switched off when the measurement values are identical to the parameter. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing emergency cutout of electrically controlled system.
