The body has a vehicle roof with a retractable roof cutout opening (8), where a reinforcing frame (10) is arranged under a roof outer skin (1) of the vehicle roof, which is connected to the roof outer skin and which surrounds the roof cut opening, and which is laterally connected with a roof lateral frame (2), which forms the lateral boundary of the vehicle roof. The roof lateral frame comprises two half shells (3,4) in sheet metal shell construction. The roof outer skin is connected with the former half-shell outside of the flange area.
